Landscapes that stopped me in my tracks
If the landmarks collection is about what people build, this one is about what was already there. Some of these places found their way onto my list the way the famous ones did — Suomenlinna's island quiet, Iceland's northern lights flickering into a photo I still can't quite believe I caught. Others are closer to home: the mountains and valleys of Northern Pakistan, a landscape I keep returning to and still haven't run out of angles to shoot.
Hunza, Naran, Deosai, the Karakoram Highway winding through peaks that don't photograph the same way twice — this is the part of traveling I love most, when the road itself becomes the destination. Scroll through for a mix of far-flung landscapes and the ones that feel most like mine.
