Paris
A short visit, cut shorter by the rain
Paris was supposed to be a full day of shooting, and then the rain had other plans — one of those days where you end up chasing gaps between downpours rather than following any real plan. What made it into this gallery is smaller because of it, but I don't think it's worse for it. The Eiffel Tower still looked like the Eiffel Tower, rain or not, and the view from the top over a grey, glistening city was worth getting soaked for.
Notre-Dame's interior ended up getting more attention than I expected, mostly because it was one of the few places actually worth lingering in that day. Between that, the Arc de Triomphe, Sacré-Cœur watching over Montmartre, and a quiet stretch through Parc Monceau, this ended up being a shorter but honest snapshot of the city — proof that even a rained-out day in Paris still hands you something worth keeping.
